Location: Eau Claire Curling Club (5530 Fairview Dr, Eau Claire, WI 54701)
Dates: Saturdays from November-March
Discover the excitement of curling with our Junior Curling Program! The program will emphasize teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship in a fun and supportive environment. Designed for all skill levels, our program helps build confidence both on and off the ice. Join us, and watch your child slide into a lifetime of new friendships and healthy competition!
We offer instruction from very beginners to intermediate and advancing skill levels. Our sessions are structured to emphasize skill development, strategy, sweeping and progressing towards full game play. We encourage camaraderie between all skill levels and will have volunteers available to ensure individual instruction and safety. Each session will include snacks for broomstacking after we are on the ice.
Requirements:
- Dress in warm, athletic attire. A hat, thin gloves, and thick socks may help keep your child warm. Please tie back longer hair.
- Don’t wear boots or snow pants (too bulky), very fluffy or fuzzy clothing (fuzz will fall onto the ice and make it dirty), dirty clothes or shoes (we need to keep our ice clean), or jeans (can be too restricting)
- Wear your street shoes and bring CLEAN rubber-soled shoes to wear on the ice (street shoes are NOT allowed on the ice)
- Everyone who steps on the ice - children and adults - is required to sign a waiver. Parents or guardians will complete this during registration. Copies will be available at the Club for adults that wish to join on the ice.

Volunteer
Our Junior Program is only possible with volunteer support. They are the future of our sport and Club and we need help from the Membership to carry this out. Therefore, the Board has adopted the following approach:
- A SignUp Genius has been created for helpers. Any Member is welcome to sign up for any dates/times/duties.
- Each league will be assigned dates and asked to help fill open slots. This will fairly distribute the need among the Membership. Convenors are aware of this and are being asked to actively encourage participation from their league.
- No experience or SafeSport certification is necessary. Our main coordinators and head coach are SafeSport certified.
- The 2025-26 season will operate slightly differently from previous years and all skill levels will be in the same time slot. Due to this change, we are asking for more volunteers but the shifts are shorter than previous years.
- The Board has approved double volunteer hours for time spent directly helping the Junior Program. Please record all your volunteer hours in the binder on the counter at the Club.
