The World University Games (WUG) will be hosting 2000 athletes, representing 57 countries, and 11 winter sports. It’s kinda like the Olympics, but for University students.

After winning a playdown competition on Sunday, Eau Claire Curling Club's own Team Hebert will represent the United States at the 2025 World University Games Winter in Torino, Italy. Curling will be one of eleven featered sports at the January 2025 international competition. Competition was fierce at the qualifying event held Oct 4-6 at the Dakota Curling Club in Lakeville, Min.

The longtime organization is home to world class-quality ice, and this year, ECCC is launching even more opportunities for the community to get out there."
We’re thrilled to announce our new Saturday Night Open Houses! On select Saturdays throughout the season, the Club will be open to the public and Members for curling, food, and fun. Non-Members can try curling for just $10 ($5 for minors), while Members can join for free. We’ll have instructors for beginners and open ice for pick-up games or practice.
Dinner will be available for purchase by The Wandering Chef, and we’ll have cheap beer available for purchase, too!
