About the league
Curling without the commitment
The Sunday Drop-In League is a relaxed, single draw league with no fixed teams. Curlers check in when they arrive, and the convenor builds the teams for that night, so most weeks you play alongside someone new.
Think of it as the step between your first taste of the sport and full Membership. A place to keep curling without committing to a season.
Eligibility
Who can play
Everyone on the ice must have curled at least once before. Any one of these qualifies:
A Saturday Open House
A Learn to Curl session
A corporate or group Learn to Curl
Current or past membership at any curling club
Eligibility does not expire, and it does not matter how long ago it was. If you have clearly curled before but are not in our records, talk to the convenor and you may still be admitted.
Brand new to curling? Start at a Saturday Open House, where instruction and equipment are provided. Then come back to us on a Sunday.

How a Sunday works
1
Check in
Check in when you arrive. Registered non-Members are confirmed against the night's list.
2
Teams are drawn
The convenor builds the boards and posts them. Every team includes at least one experienced curler.
3
Play
One draw on four sheets.
4
Broomstacking
Gather in the lobby afterward, as with every league at the Club.
Coming with friends?
Groups who sign up together and would rather play as a team can do that. Just let the convenor know in advance.
Capacity
Four sheets seat 32 curlers at four per team. On busier nights the convenor moves to five player teams with a rotating sit out, seating 40. When fewer than eight attend, play consolidates onto fewer sheets.
