HebertTeam Hebert, the Eau Claire Curling Club’s own 2026 World Junior Men’s Champions, is hosting a three part Skills Series open to both Members and non-Members. Each Sunday evening clinic focuses on one core skill: Delivery on October 25, Sweeping on December 6, and Strategy on January 17.

You’ll work directly with a Team Hebert member on and off the ice, and leave each session with a skills and drills worksheet to keep improving. Clinics are for curlers with some experience and are limited to 24 participants each. All proceeds help Team Hebert cover their travel costs as they compete on the world stage.

USACurlingThe Eau Claire Curling Club is proud to host the 2026 World Mixed Doubles Playdown Event, October 28 through November 1, where eight of the nation's top mixed doubles teams will compete for the chance to represent Team USA at the 2027 World Mixed Doubles Championship. The field includes Olympic silver medalists Cory Thiesse and Korey Dropkin, along with several other elite pairs earning their spots through national rankings and a playoff. It's a rare opportunity for our Club and our community to watch world class curling up close, right here on home ice.

HebertTeam USA delivered a historic performance at the 2026 World Junior Curling Championships, highlighted by Team Hebert (Caden Hebert, Jackson Bestland, Benji Paral, Jack Wendtland, Daniel Laufer) capturing the gold medal and earning the title of 2026 World Junior Men’s Champions, while Team Johnson (Allory Johnson, Gianna Johnson, Morgan Zacher, Bailey Vaydich, Ella Wendling) finished just off the podium in women’s play but had an impressive run against a first-rate field.

Hebert and his teammates, based out of the Eau Claire Curling Club, navigated round-robin play with just one loss, advancing to the semi-finals to face traditionally strong Canada. A 7-6 victory in that game sent them to the final, where they faced defending champion Italy. The Americans got out to an early 6-3 lead, and controlled the game on their way to an 8-6 victory.

In addition to winning the 2026 championship, skip Caden Hebert, after a vote by all competitors, also won the World Curling Junior Sportsmanship Award. This honor goes to the player who best exemplifies the values of skill, honesty, fair play, sportsmanship and friendship.
