Monday Open League

Mathew Mabis, Convener

mabismd@gmail.com

The Monday Open League, while modestly competitive, is primarily a recreational league. It has two shifts and is open to male and female participants. Draws are at  5:30 and 7:45 PM. You can choose your own team prior to registering or be assigned to an open position.

New for the 2017-2018 season: one team is responsible for an evening meal or light snack for all teams, providing an opportunity to share in curling’s historical appeal of “broomstacking” and camaraderie.  The Convener will address this new policy at the first evening of game play.

This league typically fills with returning teams. Please contact convener before registering as a new player or new team for this league.

The league fee is discounted at $110 per curler, with all necessary equipment provided by the club outside of a clean pair of shoes and warm clothing. ECCC club members may join the league for $25.

Youth/Junior/High School League

Brian Paral, Convener

The Eau Claire Curling Club has a strong interest in promoting our sport to young people 8 to 18.  Supporting this is our Junior/Youth League.  These young curlers meet on Saturday mornings and will be slotted based on age, curling experience and ability.  This OPEN league is for new and returning boy or girl curlers.  Our Junior League meets most Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Session details are flexible and vary depending on the number of curlers present, skill level and ability.  Our basic plan is to provide instruction for improving skills and to allow time to practice for the first half and to organize short games for the second half of the session
